
Why Resilience Training Isn’t Enough to Prevent Employee Burnout
Workforce burnout is a common problem organizations acknowledge yet rarely address at the source. Businesses may offer resilience training, add wellness webinars, encourage employees to take a vacation, or even introduce meditation apps or mental health days. While these supports can help, they cannot undo the daily impact of a workplace culture that rewards overwork. The data shows that burnout is growing. A Robert Half press release found that 47% of Canadian professionals in 2025 felt burned out, up from 42% in 2024 and 33% in 2023. The top contributors included heavy workloads and long hours, emotional or mental fatigue from
